About My Clients
At Resilience Lab, my ideal clients are folks within the LGBTQAI+ community. They are looking to find ways to connect with self and others, gain a deeper understanding of self, and learn how to create and engage with community and find family. They want to learn how to be in this world as their authentic selves, learn ways to process their emotions/feelings, and how to regulate their nervous systems.
My Background and Approach
The therapeutic relationship is most important and I use a person-centered approach to meet clients where they’re at and work to build a strong rapport and connection with my clients. We’re all people first and I enjoy learning about what makes each individual person unique. I want to be able to co-create a space where my clients can learn to be and accept their authentic selves, feel safe to explore and feel their feelings, and learn/practice the skills needed to create more harmony and balance in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong social justice advocate and work with my clients to address systemic oppression issues that arise within their lives. I am very excited to work with the LGBTQAI+ and BIPOC communities. Also, non-monogamous, kinky folks, and/or anyone interested in exploring alternative relationship styles will find acceptance in my practice. I received a grant last year for my workshop entitled “Identity Unveiled” with transgender, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming youth ages 13-17 years old. I completed the workshop last year which included 3 local artists. The purpose of the workshop was to provide a safe and comfortable environment for teenagers to explore their identities through various artistic mediums and create community.
