Believing there is hope in difficulty, I help individual clients pursue a healthy and meaningful life.

Change is difficult. Whether this change is expected or unexpected, exciting or overwhelming, we all benefit from support through adjusting to a new circumstance. This is fertile ground for growth and development. An opportunity to experience oneself fully present, growing, and pursuing a meaningful life is often the gift of change. I deeply enjoy digging in with clients as they work to make change and find hope in difficulty.
The therapy I provide to my clients during times of grief and loss is warm, accepting, and intent on honoring my clients personal path through grief and loss. Grief can be a beautiful paradox in which we learn that joy and sorrow can exist simultaneously. As an individual, I have walked the path of grief multiple times. My experience with grief and loss proved to be soul expanding; creating a strong ability to hold space with others who are grieving.
Few things seem more confusing and agonizing as spiritual abuse. The layers of neglect, emotional exploitation, and psychological harm are egregious affronts to an individual’s inherent dignity. It is possible to begin healing. You are have value simply because you exist. There is nothing you can do to make God/Higher Power love you any more or any less. With EMDR, grief work, and talk therapy, I help clients reclaim an innate sense of dignity given to them at birth by their Higher Power.
Each of us faces choice points: moments when we can be led toward or pulled away from a healthy and meaningful life. I help clients clear away past trauma, increase a sense of authentic self, and better utilize these choice points.
Attachment styles effect much of our day to day lives, our relationships, and perceptions of ourselves. I work with clients to move toward a secure attachment style. This could look like grief work, joining and ACA group, EMDR therapy, or exploration of patterns that are routed in attachment.
EMDR is proven to help the brain and body process stress from past events, crisis, or trauma. It is highly effective for clients who are feeling stuck. Utilizing the brains natural ability to process and heal, EMDR helps reduce stress in the nervous system by using left-right stimulation either visual, auditory, or tactile. I help clients create a target and focus on elements of this target that are ready to be resolved.
