About My Clients
As an Attachment-Focused Therapist, I work best with folks who want to address relational issues. As such, many of my clients come to therapy to address conflict in their relationships with their children, their parents, their bosses, their partners or their peers and friends. I work with many people who have experience trauma or family conflict in their childhood. Because of my additional training, many of my clients are LGBTQ+, people of color, and/or social-justice minded.
My Background and Approach
I've been working in the Mental Health field for close to a decade in many different settings including schools, community mental health clinics, and private practice. From my personal life experience and from all of my experiences learning from and with my clients, I've been able to develop my skill as a mental health therapist and show up in ways that allow my clients to feel supported and nurtured while they work through the kinks of life. As a second-generation Chinese American with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Belonging (DEIBJ) coaching, I am deeply sensitive to the ways in which our communities fail to support BIPOC folks as well as other marginalized groups. As a cishet person and LGBTQ+ ally, I've sought intensive training on how best to support LGBTQIA2s+ people, and do so with the utmost respect and humility. Lastly, as a parent of two littles and a deep curiosity in attachment theory, I love to support adults as they become parents and as they raise children.
