About My Clients
I work with individuals 16 and older with diverse background and identities looking to gain support in managing anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I also have a particular interest working with women and BIPOC populations. We will engage in activities that increase awareness and calm the body such as trauma-informed visualizations, meditation, journaling, and gratitude. So in addition to exploring your thoughts, behaviors, and patterns, we will also have a focus on connecting to the body.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the CU-Denver and my Masters degree in School Counseling with an additional focus on Professional Counseling at Lewis University in Illinois. I help people find acceptance and value in themselves so they can better navigate this enormous thing called life. I do this by using various tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, somatic therapy, and more. In our sessions together, we will collaborate to establish goals to work towards in the course of treatment in a safe, non-judgmental space. My goal is to support you with a listening ear and provide tools/perspectives that will help with your growth. You deserve healing. No matter your reasons for seeking therapy, I invite you to simply come as you are!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Black and Asian woman who grew up in a military culture. My identities and experiences shape how I navigate the world and play an important part of who I am. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, hiking, fitness, experiencing new adventures, music, and laughing until it hurts. I look forward to meet you!
