My Background and Approach
As a Program Director and a Licensed Master Social Worker, I am passionate about guiding individuals toward growth and empowerment. My journey in the human services field began about a decade ago, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to support people in improving their self-development, communication, and self-esteem. I draw on techniques such as motivational interviewing, mental health first aid, safe crisis management, and cognitive behavioral therapy to provide comprehensive support. Throughout my career, I've focused on helping individuals find a voice they may not have realized they had, encouraging them to connect with their feelings and recognize how emotions influence behaviors. By working together to identify their wants and needs, I aim to help each person build resilience, achieve personal growth, and feel more confident in their journey. It’s an honor to witness the transformation that can happen when individuals recognize their potential and begin to advocate for themself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I believe that self-worth is the foundation for personal growth and healing. When we recognize our value, we can build healthier relationships, set boundaries, and pursue our goals with confidence. Effective communication is key to understanding ourselves and others, allowing for deeper connections and conflict resolution. I also believe that resilience lies within us all—it’s about learning to adapt and bounce back from life’s challenges, no matter the past. I encourage my clients not to let past experiences define or limit their future. We all have the power to create change. In therapy, I focus on digging beneath the surface of emotions to explore the deeper layers of thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that shape our lives. By addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—I guide clients toward healing and growth. It’s through this holistic approach that we find lasting transformation, reconnecting with our true selves and our inner strength.
