About My Clients
My passion is holding space for women to find their center. For couples and families to find their home. Allowing the other the comfort and safety to come out and be fully seen. To hold the tensions together, the pain and the passion, the wounds and the celebrations, to find again the places of connection. To help mediate the anxiety as we move through the long process it takes a system to change it shape. For something new to rise. The resilience to move from survival to thriving.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master's degree from LIOS the Seattle campus of Saybrook University. My bachelors is in Communications and Art History from Trinity Western University in British Columbia, Canada. I have complete an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) , Level one Lifespan Integration training for trauma and multiple trainings on the therapeutic integration of domestic violence education, specific immigration issues and social justice. I have 15+ years of professional nanny experience and a strong background in child development.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the world is a better place when we show up in community. When we challenge our privilege and give space to those who have been made to feel voiceless. I am passionate about making changes in therapy. How it is practiced and engages in systemic oppression. It is my commitment to continue to learn, to continue to question, to address the gaps. To challenge my own whiteness. To work my own privilege and to stay engaged in the messy, difficult places. I am committed to growing within my own communities and building safer spaces for all who live here. As a queer woman, I committed to being more freely myself. An introvert, with an extremely cuddly dog, who likes to hike and paddleboard, jumping into the occasional house project that I know nothing about, but I am going to figure it out. Who loves community and seeing and being seen. To have deep conversations, and a god belly laugh and to make space for others. Joy is often the work of resistance and healing.
