About My Clients

Do you worry constantly, feel on edge all of the time or have a persistent fear of failure or judgement? Feel like you’re not good enough, not living the life you want to live, or that you’ve lost touch with the things that bring you contentment with little hope that you can live life in a fulfilling way? Have you had a traumatic experience that left you feeling disconnected and having a hard time trusting people, with the need to protect and numb yourself? If so, I may be able to help.

My Background and Approach

People possess incredible strengths and resources and my role as a therapist is to help folks creatively access their natural talents. I approach therapy from a person-centered view with an emphasis on social justice, values, respect and creativity. I assume that each person is the expert when it comes to their experience and my role is to help them gain insight into their own thoughts, feelings, behaviors and goals. I take the role of experienced guide, pointing out things that might be helpful to achieve your goals, instead of the directive expert who tells you what you ought to be doing. People I work with often report increased ability to recognize and respond more skillfully to life’s stresses. A sense of confidence, contentment, hope, fulfillment, safety and stronger connections with your important people is what I work to achieve with you. At this time I do not accept insurance. I can provide you with a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests
