About My Clients
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unmotivated? Like something's off that you can't quite put your finger on? Maybe a recent stressor has left you spiraling or something from your past won't stay buried and you are looking for relief from the weight of your emotions. Therapy can be a refuge where you can feel safe to be vulnerable, fully seen, and heard. Together we will co-create a safe space to explore what is holding you back and what you need to move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
My Background and Approach
I have a warm, practical, and genuine style. My primary goal as a counselor is to form a collaborative and supportive relationship with my clients. To facilitate growth and understanding I use modalities such as person-centered, trauma-informed, and intersectional feminist therapy. I also draw from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Health at Every Size (HAES), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) to provide tangible tools for wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all have the power to heal within ourselves, however many of us have been convinced or forced to suppress and stifle our intuition. Our environments, relationships, and experiences shape our psyches in ways that are sometimes harmful to our best interests. Keeping us stuck in patterns that prevent us from becoming whole. Together we will work to uncover and strengthen what nourishes you while transforming what is no longer serving you, so that you can live the abundant and vibrant life you deserve.
