About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed by your teen's mood swings or emotional outbursts? Are you concerned about your teen's risky behaviors or self-harm? Is your teen feeling lost, lonely, withdrawn, angry, anxious or depressed (or all of the above)? I’m passionate about helping teens and young adults make sense of why they feel the way they do! My work focuses on helping them heal from past hurts, learn healthy coping skills, identify strengths, and learn how to build meaningful relationships.
My Background and Approach
Through my experience of volunteering with teens, I learned how poor mental health negatively impacts academic performance and peer relationships, which does not prepare them for successful adulthood. Many mental health issues emerge during late childhood and early adolescence so early detection is absolutely critical. Since each client's needs are unique, I use an integrative approach with a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, family systems, and attachment theory. By creating a safe and supportive environment, my goal is to help my clients lead resilient, fulfilling, and purposeful lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
“If you treat an individual as he is, he will remain how he is. But if you treat him as if he were what he ought to be and could be, he will become what he ought to be and could be.” ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. I believe that everyone is fully capable and resourceful. I encourage my clients by already seeing their full potential and treating them as the best possible versions of themselves. I resigned from a Corporate career of 15 years to fulfill my passion for teens. If you want to learn more about how I can help, please send me a message. I look forward to hearing from you.
