In addition to my education and professional experience, my thirty years of lived experience with a mood disorder and my recovery journey informs my practice in many ways, as I have a great deal of empathy, compassion, and understanding for those who are suffering with mental health issues. I bring a message of hope for recovery and high expectations for what my clients are capable of achieving. I have a passion for assisting others to overcome their challenges and reach their individual goals and optimal potentials. I like to combine aspects of different therapy approaches, such as mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, integrative body/mind/spirit approaches, motivational interviewing, and others in order to customize the treatment plan and interventions for each person. My philosophy is that we are a team, openly communicating and working together for the best possible outcomes.
