About My Clients

Have you been experiencing feelings of worthlessness, alienation, or difficulty overcoming a major life shift? Do you find yourself anxious in relationships or at work, or struggling to find motivation and meaningful connection? Together, with compassion and heartfelt attention, we'll explore these difficult experiences, shift thoughts and habits that no longer serve you, set new goals, and start building a life aligned with your core values.

My Background and Approach

I believe therapy should be a creative and collaborative process of self-discovery. At the heart of my work, I am interested in helping you discover and redefine values, identify behaviors or thoughts that are out of alignment with those values, and develop more effective modes of coping. I will gently and skillfully encourage you to attend to your inner world while also making changes in your daily life. As your therapist, I am your ally. Your wellbeing will be my top consideration. I will never pressure you to go into territory that you are not ready explore, and we will work at whatever pace feels most comfortable to you. My credentials include a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, Masters of Arts in Gender/Cultural Studies from Simmons University, and Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Smith College. I draw from a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Trying to find a culturally-responsive and LGBTQIA-affirming therapist can seem dauting. And it can be especially scary to open yourself up to a therapist who may not have sensitivity towards your experience and lived identities. As a member of the LGBTQIA community of mixed heritage, diversity and inclusion have been very natural and core aspects of my life and work. I am attentive to dynamics of power and take great pride in providing culturally responsive and LGBTQIA-affirming therapy to my clients. Rest assured, I'm not the kind of therapist who will silently judge a 'non-normative' or taboo belief, practice, or experience. I welcome exploration of spirituality, religion, sexuality, philosophy and/or whatever else is important to you. If it's important to you and your fulfilment, it's important to me and our work together.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Buddhism
  • Christianity
  • Wicca/Paganism
  • Interfaith
  • Multifaith
