About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients who desire to improve their important relationships. Whether they are work, romantic, family relationships or friendships, our relational patterns are largely consistent. While self-help books, podcasts, and trainings often provide great advice on new behaviors one can adopt to improve relationships, they often fail to get to the personalized reasons relationships are difficult in the first place. This is where I can help!
My Background and Approach
My work explores early life experiences, attachment styles, and defensive mechanisms to help clients notice how past experiences influence present behavior. This approach allows us to understand why we do the things we do and provides space for us to make intentional decisions that improve our relationships and lead to healthier, more fulfilling lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone is worthy of love and wellness. I believe we are built for connection and I also know that a large portion of the world is struggling with experiences of exclusion and isolation. Throughout various times of my life, I've experienced both deep connections and seasons of loneliness - leading to the work I do today. My life experiences include growing up in a military family, relocating every 2-3 years, I was a competitive cheerleader through college, a one-time Chicago Marathon finisher, loved CrossFit for awhile, had a progressive career in Corporate America, spent a decade as a stay-at-home mom, married for 20 years and counting, and recently pursued a career pivot (I think of Ross every time I say this word) to mental health. I love my family, my dog, the Chicago Cubs, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and 90's music.
