About My Clients
I focus on working with clients on identity, interpersonal relationships, and the inner child. Speciality Populations: Womxn of Color, Teens - Emerging Adults (16-26), LGBTQ+
My Background and Approach
My approach often begins with hearing your story, identifying your strengths, and helping to build you up without imposing any “should” statements. Sometimes a new skill set and building the confidence to bet on yourself can be the difference between staying stuck and living your desired life. I want to help people create a new narrative of themselves through confronting the past, embracing the present, and planning for the future. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California and a certified clinician in Brainspotting and Interpersonal Psychotherapy with advanced training in other Evidenced-Based Practices such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Seeking Safety, and Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mixed-race clinician, I am naturally drawn to the complexities of claiming identity and navigating multicultural experiences. I have a passion for working with those noticing distress related to identity, interpersonal relationships, and the inner child. I believe that fear, misguided emotions, and ineffective communication fuel conflict within self and with others. I like to help people find their voice, push through the initial discomfort, and develop healthier boundaries to change the dynamic of their relationships. I feel honored that people allow me to get to know them in such a vulnerable way. While we often wear a facade of perfection and filter out our perceived flaws, therapy encourages you to unmask and welcome the whole self.
