Is it difficult to talk about "it?" I am an Art Therapist who will guide you as you navigate feelings and emotions through creative processes in a safe environment. No need to feel pressure to be an artist. Art Therapy is for all levels of skill. Art Therapy uses creative ways like drawing, painting, clay, etc., to help clients navigate and express vulnerable feelings and emotions related to life stressors. I am also a licensed mental health counselor for when you do feel safe and ready to talk in a confidential and private space. I use CBT and motivational interviewing from a client centered approach in sessions. I feel trust, safety, and confidentiality are key components for success in reaching therapeutic goals.

I believe in you. If you are ready to do the work of therapy, I am ready to support you and guide you. I may offer some input or observations as we work together in sessions, but mostly you will process and explore options that work for you. How helpful is a coping skill if it doesn't work for you? How helpful would it be if a therapist told you what to do? I may ask lots of open ended questions, and that may seem annoying, but those questions help you explore, process, and identify options that work for you. You are the expert about you. You know what may work and what hasn't worked. Art Therapy can help you visualize those options as well.
