About My Clients

I support motivated, stable, high-functioning adults with anxiety, some of whom may self-identify as perfectionists. Folx are eager to make changes in their lives and may not know where to start, want to explore complex layers of their identities, or seek ways to better navigate relationships. We'll work together to cultivate strengths and shift perspectives to engage in life with a more grounded sense of self.

My Background and Approach

*View my website for information on my specialties* I'm a licensed mental health counselor with over 14 years of experience in multiple areas of mental health offering a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. I incorporate various theoretical approaches to best support clients session-to-session; in using yoga and mindfulness, I may ask my client to pause and tune into their body and sensations/emotions they might notice. The body offers us information that expands our insight and awareness, the first step to change. Therapy is a collaboration between the therapist and client, and my role is not to tell my clients what to do or offer advice - instead, I provide unconditional support for clients to be themselves and speak freely in a nonjudgmental space. Therapy is for brave individuals ready to engage and commit to the work. It's not easy, yet it will be fulfilling and pave the way for stability, resilience, and success. If you're ready, reach out, I'm here for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Black Lives Matter. I am dedicated to becoming more of an anti-racist individual in all facets of my life. I am a queer, white, cisgender woman in a non-disabled body. I am proactively learning and unlearning to expand my perspective, increase the efficacy of care, and be a better humxn. I am a nonjudgmental, empathic, and open-minded professional. I believe in radical self-love and sex positivity. I have seen the benefits in small acts of nurturing ourselves and being in community and believe these are vital to one's quality of life. I believe that you are the expert of your life, and you have the answers you're seeking - when we can truly listen to ourselves and reflect nonjudgmentally we find exactly what we need.
