This is really the human experience as I've found. We all experience a variety of losses in life - from unmet expectations to changing relationships to retirement to the illness and/or death of a loved one - and we process that grief in a culture that does not support us as well as it could/should. Along with my own experiences with grief and loss, I have taken multiple classes and witnessed alongside numerous clients in their stories of grief and loss.
I have worked with mixed-agenda couples in which one person is "all in" but unsure how to save the relationship while the other is "one foot out" and giving one last chance before they walk away. I've also worked with couples to expand their communication for improved connection and stronger sense of belonging in the relationship. Additionally, I helped former partners plan for and navigate the uncoupling process while co-parenting in their toddler's best interests.
I am an anti-shame, anti-oppression, sex positive, body positive inclusive therapist. I was awarded a Certificate in Sex Therapy from Antioch University Seattle, where I successfully completed a specialized course of curriculum around common sexual problems experienced by individuals and partners as well as the ever-expanding universe of sexual identities and gender identities. I participated in Sexual Attitude Reassessment and studied techniques and interventions within Sex Therapy.
