About My Clients
Feeling overwhelmed with anxiety and depression but don't know where to start? Wanting to make connections with others but don't know how exactly? Having a strong desire to take better care of yourself and be more present in your own life? You are not alone in this and in our work together we will work on symptom management, discussing what healthy communication looks like and figuring out what good self-care looks like for you and how you can actively engage in it.
My Background and Approach
Choosing to seek therapy is most often not an easy choice and I believe that successful therapy starts with the connection between the therapist and their client. I will work with you to create a safe, calm space that is free from judgment and criticism, a space where you can truly open up to work through past hurts and begin to heal. I work from a person-centered approach to meet you where you are and use a lot of relational therapy in my techniques. I have years of DBT experience as well and I really enjoy helping clients figure out what self-care looks like for them and finding ways to make it a regular part of their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that therapy is something that should be accessible to everyone and am strong advocate for having a healthy relationship with your mental health. I am LQBTQ+ friendly and accepting of all faiths, as well as Atheism. I have past experience working with homeless and housing teams and am a strong advocate for all people having the right to have a safe place to live.
