We're not meant to do this alone. I provide therapy to alleviate symptoms of perinatal depression/anxiety and parenting counseling.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in ,
My goal in talk therapy is to provide you with unconditional support, empathy, and be your advocate. I have a direct and active approach in exploring symptoms, relationships, parenting and any trauma.
Societal, cultural and political influences shape how we internalize gender roles and how we parent. I help clients negotiate for their own personal space and/or time in relationships with their families, work or others. This may look like practicing assertiveness, or developing boundaries and limit setting. We'll develop a supportive relationship for fostering self-nurturance and self-care.
Attachment theory is the foundation for any clinical work with newborns, infants, children and their parents. I approach child development by looking at stages of attachment, attachment styles, and generally through a respectful parenting lens. We will explore how to respect and trust your child and yourself, have age appropriate expectations with behavior, and connect with your child to form or maintain a close emotional bond.
