About My Clients
You feel like you need to be perfect and have your shit together but deep down, your inner critic has taken control of your life. You may be a new parent feeling like you’ve lost yourself during this time that was supposed to be amazing but actually feels overwhelming. You may be an LGBTQIAP+ person who is grappling with embracing your authentic self and living out your true identity. Or you might be a young adult trying to figure out the next step in life and where you belong in the world.
My Background and Approach
Maybe you have already tried talking to a therapist about your problems but didn’t get what you needed out of it. Your inner critic is still running wild. While there is a time and place for talk therapy, sometimes you need something different. I take a mind/body approach to therapy, incorporating strategies that will help you silence your inner critic, feel less overwhelmed with life, and ultimately embrace who you’re becoming. We will spend time getting to know each other, establish your goals, and decide what therapeutic strategies will help you reach your goals. Because therapy should look the way you want it to look and help you see real change. I’m trained in strategies like Mindfulness, EMDR, Brainspotting, Coping Skills, and Guided Imagery. Every part of you experience will be tailored to you and your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I create a judgment free environment, where you can be your true self. Authenticity for me, comes in the form of fun hair colors, lots of cursing, tattoos, and comfy T-shirts. It's important to understand how our cultural and societal upbringings mold who are as a person. We learn who we are and how to behave from those surrounding us. I'm a firm believer in the mind-body connection, you can't treat one without treating the other.
