About My Clients

Teens, individuals, and couples who identity both within and outside of the LGBTQIA+ community.

My Background and Approach

I am supervised by Rebecca Ray, LMFT (TX Lic. #203666). I joined Ray Family Therapy because I LOVE working with queer couples and adults. I also love working with teens who are navigating the stress of high school, and family issues, and are anxious about the transition to adulthood. I love helping high school teens and adults explore careers and the possibilities for their lives! Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a High School Teacher, so I understand the unique demands teens face today. I also know what it’s like to change careers in adulthood.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my free time, I love to spend time with my 13-year-old Bay Arabian horse, Arisa. Arisa and I spend time together daily, and she has helped me improve my emotional awareness, communication skills, and overall confidence as a human being. I started out life afraid of horses, but with the help of a lot of horses and mentors, my fear has turned into love and respect. I try to be grateful for a horse’s time, presence, patience, and perspective in hopes to learn as much as I can from them. I take the same approach to my work with clients. I have immense gratitude for the time and effort people invest in their lives, and offer patience, strong support, and a calm presence in session. When I’m not binging Schitt’s Creek or Ozark, I love to read books, listen to podcasts, and invest energy into finding the meaning in the words.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Christianity
  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
