My approach to therapy is integrative, which means that I pull from a number of different therapeutic modalities to better serve my clients and their presenting concerns. Primarily, I utilize person-centered therapy to develop rapport, provide unconditional positive regard (non-judgment) and authenticity for my clients so that a strong framework/foundation of therapy is created. Next, I typically pull from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Existential Therapy in order to meet my clients where they are at and address their concerns/needs accordingly. From these modalities, I utilize evidence-based techniques to further examine thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and the therapeutic relationship between myself and my client. In therapy, I aim to achieve a warm, supportive, and encouraging environment so that clients will feel safe and able to explore their concerns. I am trained in Gottman Method Level 1.
