About My Clients
I have a passion for working with adolescents and adults in order to assist them through transitional stress such as college, young adult, life stress, work burnout, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, co-morbidity, relationships as well as anger management. I utilize motivation, coping skills, mindfulness, positivity to improve self-esteem, establishing boundaries and improve quality of life.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master's Degree of Science in Psychology from University of Dallas and Bachelor of Psychology from Southern Methodist University. My approach to therapy utilizes a foundation that life experiences, even as early as childhood shape our view of the world around us, how we relate to others as well as how we view ourselves. These experiences, in turn, shape our thoughts and interactions throughout every aspect of our lives. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Existential practices. Integrating these two theories, along with various other therapies allows me to address my clients' needs and goals in the most effective and sustaining way for each individual. I have experience working in different treatment settings to include psychiatric inpatient hospital, partial hospitalization, outpatient, clinics, groups, families and community mental health.
