Medication is an essential part of the treatment of many mental health concerns as they can manage, reduce, and/or eliminate symptoms, improving your overall well-being. Medication affects people uniquely, so I will evaluate your needs before prescribing medication. I will continually monitor your use of the medication(s) to ensure the desired outcome.
Depression is a common but serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think, and how you act. Fortunately, it is a treatable condition. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and home.
Anxiety is a normal part of life. Many people worry about things such as health, money, or family problems. But anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry or fear. The anxiety does not go away for people with an anxiety disorder and can worsen over time. The symptoms can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, schoolwork, and relationships. Several types of anxiety disorders include generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and phobias.
