About My Clients
I am trained to work with a wide variety of individuals experiencing many different mental health concerns. Most frequently I work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, big life transitions, grief, perinatal mood disorders and disordered eating/body image concerns. The special populations I work with include LGBTQIA+ people, teens, and those in the perinatal stages.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a variation of therapeutic approaches and modalities to best fit the individual. This often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. If these therapies are new to you, I am happy to explain them more thoroughly. Together we can work on things like coping skills, exploring trauma, interpersonal conflict, radical self-acceptance and more. I hope to create a warm and empowering environment that cultivates a sense of safety and understanding.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is always informed by social justice. I know that oppression and marginalization can have large impacts on wellbeing and mental health. I strive to provide an open, inclusive, and supportive space for all clients to explore the challenges in their world.
