I enjoy partnering with individuals to help them realize their natural abilities and strengths and to achieve more quality of life.
Clinical Social Worker in Wichita, KS
Symptoms of anxiety can emerge as a result of unresolved past issues along with current life transitions. I have witnessed significant improvement in individuals having symptoms of anxiety as a result of using the modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Compassion Therapy.
I have 30 years of experience in the medical and mental health fields, working in specialties of nephrology, oncology, primary care, and caregiver support programs. I have worked closely with all levels of medical professionals who are at higher risk of experiencing burnout and compassion fatigue, as well as have worked with family caregivers experiencing increased caregiver stress as a result of caregiving for their loved ones.
I have worked with individuals, families, and groups regarding the topic of grief and loss, in both the medical and mental health fields for the past 30 years. Grief and loss can be experienced as a result of death, relationship loss, occupational loss, and through health-related issues. I work with clients consistently that have experienced these issues.
