About My Clients
Are you often feeling anxious and struggling to control your emotions? Do your friends and family want you to seek help, but you're not sure where to start? Dealing with mental health issues can be frightening and isolating, but there is hope for improvement. I'm here to provide comprehensive treatments to help you manage symptoms, develop resilience, and reclaim your life.
My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 7 years of nursing experience. I also hold a certification as a clinical anxiety treatment professional (CCATP). My journey began in the ICU, caring for the most vulnerable. Wanting to do more, I transitioned to psychiatry to help people on their road to recovery. I use integrated therapy techniques to alleviate anxiety, panic, and trauma symptoms. I believe in unifying medication management and psychotherapy to improve alliance, treatment, and outcomes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I deeply believe that every individual has the potential for growth and improvement, especially when they feel empowered to seek support and actively engage in treatment. My approach to treatment is shaped by my own battles with mental illness and my personal journey with therapy and medications. I understand the frustration and challenges that arise from seeking help and trying to find the right solution, as I've experienced it myself. While I recognize the place of medications in treatment, I believe in using them cautiously and at the lowest effective doses to manage symptoms while therapy takes effect. I highly value a true partnership between the clinician and the patient, and I aim to always communicate with sincerity, openness, and empathy.
