About My Clients
Each of us, as we walk our paths in life, encounter challenges, traumas and times of stress. These hardships can create wounds that stay with us, impacting our functioning, joy and future selves. My goal in working with you is to help you release the pain of these wounds. Together we can explore the experiences that shaped your life and find new ways of moving forward towards peace, balance and happiness.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and draw from a variety of therapeutic models including Client Centered and attachment based approaches. I aim to help you find your strengths in moments of hopelessness and use the skills you may not know you have. I believe in showing up for you with integrity and authenticity and use honesty, laughter, curiosity, and gentle directness to help guide you toward the life you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have experience working with adults and teenagers. It was while working with teens that I learned even the most skeptical clients can be surprised by the benefits they receive from therapy. I find many people enjoy the opportunity to speak without any fear of judgement. I will create a safe space for you to vent, complain, celebrate successes, laugh about the unfair absurdities of life or, if you choose, go deeper and explore your inner world.
