My approach to therapy is attachment-focused and intention-based. Therefore, therapy with me will be relational and include dialogue and conversation. I also support and encourage clients in becoming active participants in their lives, and attempt to model and cultivate intentionality in each session. Additionally, I find that humor aids in the healing process, because even in the midst of struggle a half smile or slight chuckle can be a reminder that all is not lost. I do not offer quick solutions or simplistic advice. I believe all individuals have strengths and skills within that enable them to create a life worth living, and my goal is to assist them in drawing from those resources.
In therapy you are invited not to have it all together, you are welcome to make mistakes and encouraged to ask questions. Therapy is where you can learn, practice and grow. Whether healing from the past, or walking a tight rope between keeping it together and falling apart, you’re not alone.
