In treatment, it is essential to consider your history while also paying close attention to how your lived experience has been influenced by social identities (race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation). Listening with an open mind and loving heart, I can help you understand how all of these factors have shaped your life. I use an approach that helps people uncover and appreciate their strengths because certain skills, approaches, and/or healthy relationships are already in place. Once you can see them more clearly, you will grow to love yourself more and also be able to build on these strengths. Because anxiety, depression, and trauma affect your body, we'll work collaboratively so that you can master techniques to put into place when your heart races, negative thoughts ruminate, and/or you feel numb. You will become more resilient through a therapeutic process that heals the whole person: body, mind, feelings, and spirit.
