I work with youth 13+ and adults across the lifespan. I provide LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming mental health therapy; provide support in navigating and exploring: relationship to self and others (sex and body positive, ethical non-monogamy and poly affirming), anxiety, depression, trauma, family of origin, disability, chronic-illness, grief, life transitions and challenges. I'm passionate about bringing an intersectional, anti-oppressive approach to therapy.
My Background and Approach
I practice from anti-oppressive, anti-racist, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, relational-cultural, systems, and person-centered frameworks. You know you best, and my intention is to create a safe space and offer tools for you to build your self efficacy. Exploring what approach resonates with you most, I utilize modalities and tools based in Somatics, Internal Family Systems, Attachment, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, nature and art.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value authenticity, transparency, kindness, social justice, autonomy, community, sustainability, intersectionality, and reflection. I strive to identify and deconstruct with you privileges and oppressions that racism, sexism, classism, capitalism, cis-sexism, heterosexism, sizeism, ageism, ableism, xenophobia, and colonization fosters. I believe that individual justice, liberation, growth, and healing is connected to that of others and the environment.
