About My Clients
My focus extends to substance abuse, chronic illness, life transitions, LGBTQIA experiences, trauma, fertility, and maternal mental health. Healing is a collaborative process, where together we’ll turn your vulnerability into resilience, and your pain into growth. With an approach customized to your individual needs, you can overcome trauma.
My Background and Approach
Here’s what you can expect: Guided Exploration: a safe haven where you can explore your emotions and gain fresh perspectives on everyday challenges. Specialized Support: expertise that extends to a range of specialties and allows a tailored approach to meet your unique needs. Holistic Growth: encouragement and empowerment to explore your authentic self and to navigate life’s challenges with newfound clarity and resilience. I received my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Houston, a BA in Forensic Psychology & a BS in Human Services and Community Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC. I primarily use a somatic and mindfulness approach while also utilizing DBT, Internal Family Systems, bibliotherapy, yoga, and attachment-based interventions. I am also certified in trauma-conscious yoga and have my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Additionally, I am a Certified Trauma Professional.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have many pursuits outside of the counseling room. I'm passionate about promoting healthy relationships and have worked to promote sexual health and advocate against sexual assault. In my free time, I'm a voracious reader. Last year, I devoured 110 books, spanning psychological thrillers, mysteries, and romance.
