First and foremost, the relationship that we create and will have together is crucial in having therapy work for you. If there is no trust in this relationship, then we are not going to get much done in the therapy room. I use myself as someone who will get to know you, and believe that the therapy space is telling of how you are out in the world. I will let you know what I see in a caring and therapeutic manner and we will discuss together how that serves, or doesn't serve you.
I will not give you advice on how to live your life. That's up to you! I will, however, point things out as we work together and we will discuss how useful it is. While I don't believe therapy is a cure-all for life, I do believe it is a powerful tool to build awareness and make change.
You will find a culturally-sensitive, non-judgmental, and safe space in my therapy room.
