About My Clients
Areas of focus include working with individuals seeking therapy to heal from the emotional impact of trauma, addiction and/or codependent relationship concerns. Individual therapy sessions are offered to treat depression, mood disorders, stress, anger, anxiety, PTSD, shame, life transitions and self-esteem issues.
My Background and Approach
I earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the College of Staten Island; a Master of Science in Counseling with a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mental Health from Alfred University. I hold a certification as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor; and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. In working with clients, I integrate a holistic approach by implementing effective evidence-based interventions to alleviate symptoms of emotional distress. Utilizing a person-centered approach, I encourage my clients to adopt a self-compassionate perspective in order to increase self-motivation, improve self-confidence and create the changes necessary to modify or remodel their life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Personally, I believe that everyone, if given the opportunity to reach their full potential can lead a life that is purposeful!
