About My Clients

Do you have trouble getting started on things? Maybe you've been feeling unorganized, losing things all the time, including your patience. With ADHD it can feel like everything's a chore that will take forever to do. I've got ADHD, too, so I know how it can be. The "micro failures" we experience eat away at our self esteem and fill us with shame and anxiety. But it doesn't have to be that way! Together we can write your brain's personal user manual and put you in the driver's seat for success.

My Background and Approach

The tools that I'll provide you with aren't just things I've studied; they're strategies I've used for decades in my own life for ADHD and anxiety. Through conversations and some formal testing (short online assessments), I can diagnose or rule out ADHD. Together, we can help you see your strengths and the areas you struggle with. Then we've got dozens of strategies that we can implement to help calm your anxiety and work WITH your ADHD brain. For anxiety, we'll focus on being in the moment and working on training your brain to calm. You'll have specific strategies that you can use anywhere to get control over your anxious mind and body. For ADHD, we'll start in small ways to tackle things you're struggling with. Through small, doable steps, you'll build tools for handling things like procrastination, staying focused, and how to silently talk to yourself when you're struggling. And through it all, you'll be supported in a judgement-free zone with me. Reach out. We've got this.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we're more alike than we think we are. There are more people who struggle silently with anxiety, self-doubt, feeling like a failure and with ADHD hurdles than you'd imagine. We're out there. Naming it & understanding that it's not a personal failure but a human struggle that we CAN conquer is the beauty of therapy. As a person with ADHD, I can help you use strategies that are not only research based but also have worked for me and hundreds of my clients with ADHD and anxiety over the years. You don't have to suffer in silence and shame. There really is a way to make your brain work for you so you can be happy and feel successful! BTW, I am also the proud mom of an adult lesbian child, so I have a special place in my heart for folks in the LGBTQ community. I wear a "free vaccinated mom -hugs" t-shirt. A lot. I believe in science and spirit. They both influence how I life my life and how I treat others-and I'm looking forward to meeting you.
