About My Clients
Did you grow up in a home with parents who were invalidating, inconsistent or abusive? Do you find that you either feel your emotions very intensely, or avoid them at all costs? Do you see a repetitive cycle of poor conflict management in your relationships? I work with individuals & couples to help people heal from attachment wounds. If you notice unhealthy patterns in your relationships, have difficulty regulating or expressing your emotions, or feel otherwise stuck, I would love to help you.
My Background and Approach
Together, we will apply a lens of curiosity and compassion - rather than judgement - to help you identify and respond to the challenges you face. We'll work together to first understand how and why you feel, think, and behave as you do, and then develop better ways of responding to your emotions, dealing with problems, and relating to others so that you can create the life that you want. My style is integrative, incorporating elements of attachment-based therapy, cognitive therapy, and mindfulness. Through our work, you will become more mindful and in control of your emotions, develop greater compassion for yourself, and learn new tools for creating and maintaining healthy relationships.
