I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern California. I have a goal-oriented, yet calming and supportive style to guide people in gaining the tools to manage their stress, improve their self-esteem, handle unexpected changes, and connect in a more meaningful way with others. I have specialized in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and sexual orientations, including college students, working professionals and young adults. I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches. I work collaboratively in therapy to actively address issues such as anxiety, stress, self-esteem, identity concerns, life transitions, and cultural adjustment. I have a particular expertise in working with Asian American populations and those who grew up in immigrant families. I am sensitive to multicultural and intersecting backgrounds, and personalize my approach to each individual's needs.
