My Background and Approach
I use a combination of therapeutic techniques that I have been perfecting over my career and life experiences to help people just like you. I tailor my approach to each person’s needs, family/cultural values, and goals. My goal is for you to heal from your past, to really get to know yourself so you can identify your current patterns, your triggers and use the tools I will teach you so you can take control of your life and your emotions. Throughout experience and trainings, I have focused on helping people with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and grief. You don’t need to be embarrassed or ashamed of your emotions anymore. I will hold a space for you to process your feelings without being judged. We will go at your pace, and you will always be in control of what you want or not want to talk about.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that Hispanics tend to have strong family connections. What that means is that we can be tightly connected to our loved ones and what they do affects us and vice versa (for good or for bad). I think people develop many mental health issues and negative beliefs from traumatic experiences and unhealthy relationships through our lives. I believe that you can uncover and unlearn unhelpful limiting beliefs and feelings about yourself and learn new healthy ones. Both my academic career and my life experience have equipped me to now have the privilege to witness others heal too.
