Grief and loss are a part of the human condition. Grief is typically considered to be brought on by the death of a loved one, but can also be triggered by any significant life-altering loss (such as a divorce or the loss of a job). Grief is a natural response to loss, but that doesn’t make it easy to deal with. Symptoms of grief may include sadness, loneliness, anger, denial, depression and a myriad of other thoughts and feelings. There is no “normal” amount of time for grief to pass, but if you find that your grief is not improving over time or that it is interfering with your everyday life, you may want to consider seeking professional help. A qualified grief counselor can help you to cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s grief experts today.

Don't you agree life should be about more than just feeling *less* anxious, depressed, angry or conflict? I'm not in the “symptom reduction” business – like most therapists. Rather my focus is helping clients like you experience MORE. Picture experiencing not just less of something but more hope, love, connection, self-control, happiness, fulfillment, freedom, confidence, affection, compassion, trust, acceptance, validation, & feeling understood. Can you imagine what that would be like for you?

Many of my clients are facing a crossroads when they begin therapy - embarking on parenthood, rethinking career choices; both craving and dreading a change. They are often struggling with anxiety in its many forms - panic, OCD, perfectionism, phobias, avoidance, etc. I also offer neurodiversity-affirming psychological assessments for adults exploring possible diagnoses or seeking better understanding of their emotional functioning and neurotype strengths and challenges.

I love working with Queer and Trans folks who feel things deeply and intuitively, are curious about spirituality, who are social justice oriented, and who feel a calling to bring their gifts and offerings into this world! I also specialize in supporting folx who are seeking deeper healing of trauma and oppression. I offer limited sliding scale spots for LGBTTSQIA activists, chronically ill/disabled folx, and BIPOC.

My practice is largely geared toward supporting individuals, couples, and families in navigating difficulties and transitions (relationship dynamics, grief, stress, anxiety, and disconnection) as well as those seeking a deeper connection with themselves or others. I have a special interest in supporting male identified folks, emerging adults (16 and up), people in relationships (romantic or otherwise), and parents or caregivers.

My clients are creatives, artists, healers, highly sensitive people, and empaths. They are also people who are struggling with chronic pain and/or fatigue, low self-esteem, people pleasing, attachment wounding, nervous system regulation and executive functioning.
My clients tend to be badass, kind, and maybe not know it! They are, or aspiring to be: generational cycle breakers, healing attachment wounds, or seeking alignment with one's values. Are you curious about building insight or ways to self/collectively care? Perhaps we're a fit if you're seeking a therapist who believes and works from a feminist liberation approach, has experience working towards building healthy familial dynamics, and integrates a whole-person & holistic approach to care.

I work with individual adults, teens, and partners across monogamous and non-monogamous relationship configurations and within the BDSM spectrum. I specialize in working with fellow activists, therapists and healers, misfits, creatives, doers, and more. I’m committed to serving individuals across racial backgrounds, abilities, genders, and sexual orientations who may have been underserved or harmed by the field of psychotherapy.

I work primarily with folks who are: neurodivergent (e.g. autistic, ADHD, or other), chronically ill/disabled (particularly with autoimmune illnesses), queer/LGBTQIAA2S, sexual/gender outsiders, fat-identified and/or hoping to develop a more loving relationship with their body, sex workers, poly folks, and those in non-traditional relationship and family structures. If you've ever been told that you're too much, too negative, or too "in your head," let's talk. I welcome you exactly as you are.

Being part of the LGBTQ+ community can be beautiful, exciting, challenging, and heartbreaking which makes finding a LGBTQ+ friendly therapist that much more important. You might be questioning your sexuality. You might wonder where you fit in. You might simultaneously love your queer life, but feel like an outsider from your biological family or the rest of the world. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community might only be one part of who you are and it might not be why you’re coming to therapy at all.

I am drawn to those who are in transition or processing a loss of some sort; of romantic relationships, careers, loss of family members, or grieving parenting they didn't receive. I love to work with people who are struggling with issues of self esteem, shame, and anxiety. I find it very rewarding to help individuals to develop a stronger relationship with themselves using self compassion and acceptance and then to help individuals empower themselves to make wanted changes.

You are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, unfulfilled. Maybe your relationship feels like it is crashing and burning. Or maybe you feel like you friend circle has shrunk or that you are the last person standing with no romantic prospects. Maybe you are a parent just trying to get through the day. You have lost motivation, direction, and a sense of purpose. You are not sure when it started but you do not feel the same. Maybe you just feel alone and the voice in your head is saying “what is wrong?”
