I am passionate about helping highly sensitive individuals (HSP's), young adults and new Moms manage their anxiety, depressive symptoms and challenging life transitions by connecting with their internal resources and strengths, so they feel empowered. A common thread for highly sensitive people, empaths, young adults & Moms is a tendency to feel like you are doing life “wrong”. You are not! By helping you learn to quiet that internal critic and accept yourself as you are then change can happen!
We all exist within the context of our upbringing, cultural heritage, and our relationships. My goal is to help you better understand your patterns, identity, and how your experiences have shaped you—so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. Whether you’re grappling with questions about who you are or struggling to navigate your direction in life, I’m here to provide support and practical solutions tailored to you.
Many clients come to me dealing with things like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, work stress, and feeling stuck. I use techniques like EMDR and other approaches to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that feels safe and comfortable.
Neurodiverse-informed couples counseling often brings relief after years of misunderstandings. Neurotypical partners may feel invalidated or "gaslighted," while neurodiverse partners feel overwhelmed. Key communication differences include logical vs. emotional, concrete vs. abstract, absolute vs. relative, and avoidant vs. insistent styles. Recovery involves recognizing how neurological differences affect interactions and then working through structured steps to rebuild acceptance and love.
My clients broadly fall into 4 buckets: couples, teens, executives, and those dealing with substance use issues. I also work with your prototypical adult therapy client who is searching for more meaning in life, struggling with anxiety/depression, or trying to navigate a break-up.
