Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.

We work with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of individuals who are interested in becoming the best version of themselves. We love to work with individuals, couples, and families and meet our clients exactly where they are in life. We partner with clients who struggle with relationship/communication issues, those who feel they have been misdiagnosed, and those who struggle with anxiety and depression.
I often work with clients who are struggling to process the emotional pain of a significant life event, such as the loss of a loved one, a traumatic experience, or unresolved past trauma. My goal is to help you identify and bring forth your strengths and resilience to overcome challenges and learn lasting skills in the process. I am honored to walk this journey with you and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about therapy and what to expect.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

The most basic human need is our desire to be heard and understood. I provide a non-judgmental and empathic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and be heard and understood. I work with those suffering with: anxiety, depression, emotional eating issues, substance abuse/addiction and early recovery support, LGBTQIA+ issues, polyamorous and open relationship issues, low self- confidence, and grief and mourning support.

I believe my clients are looking for a caring , knowledgeable therapist to effectively support them. They may be experiencing depression or anxiety or undergoing life transitions like being a new parent, divorce, marriage, new job, moving, parenting challenges, menopause, aging parents, illness, or new relationships. They may need to work through unresolved feelings from their upbringing with caretakers or siblings. Overall, they're looking for more creative approaches to therapy & coping.
