It's my opinion (and research supports this) that building supportive spaces where individuals can explore their authentic selves and change unhelpful patterns is the most effective way to do therapy. I support the well-being of adults and adolescents experiencing overwhelming emotions, challenging histories, and complex mental health problems. All too often we trade expressing our genuine selves for safety, which can lead to blame, resentment, anxiety, and inexplicable grief.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, have difficulties focusing, continuously putting others before yourself, lacking confidence or often have thoughts of comparison? These challenges often impact self-esteem and self worth, which may contribute to increased anxiety or depression. I work with individuals struggling with ideas of perfectionism.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

My sessions are a space for clients to safely explore their feelings, learn new ways to cope with stress, feel validated and supported, and improve their relationships. My clients are people facing challenges like anxiety, depression, difficulty managing their feelings, life transitions, and codependency. I also work with individuals in recovery and those questioning their relationship with alcohol, drugs, or other self-sabotaging behaviors.
Are you feeling sad, lacking energy, and feeling like something is wrong all of the time? Has your mood been up and down and you've found it As a client you will have a comfortable safe space to share freely without judgment. You can discuss substance use and if and why that might have increased for you recently. You can discuss any recent stressful life changes resulting in increased anxiety or depression. You can talk about sadness, fear, regret, and the feelings of all shapes and sizes.
If you have ADHD, you're not broken—although it may often feel that way. If you're a neurodivergent (ND) person who has spent years trying to function the way neurotypical (NT) people do, you know that a lot of the advice you receive doesn’t seem to work. It's hard to solve ND problems using NT solutions. I can help you learn more about your ADHD patterns, identify areas in your life where ADHD is most challenging, and teach you effective strategies & techniques for managing your challenges.

Do you have intrusive thoughts that just wont go away? Always feeling anxious, distressed or even embarrassed by the thoughts. Do you feel the pull or urge to perform a certain task, maybe even a certain way to avoid feelings? You find yourself going over the same worse case scenario again and again. Anxiety and fear can be debilitating and keep you from living the life you want. You don't have to suffer anymore. I look forward to teaching you the tools so you can live the life you want.
My clients are sick and tired of being reactive to life, emotionally and physically. They want a calm mind and body and to know they are enough. They have had trauma, but they don't want it to define them. They are willing to be curious and brave and to dig into the deep places with me just long enough to do what they need to do to release it. They are people who want to untangle and say goodbye to the old stuff to make plenty of space to create the new.
Working with those who are dealing with issues related to anxiety, complex trauma, sex, and sexuality, my therapeutic approach incorporates compassion and progress at your pace. I do not work with insurance companies but can offer you paperwork to seek reimbursement for out-of-network services.
I work best with LGBTQ+ clients who have a desire to learn about and explore their relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them to move towards a more integrated and holistic way of being. This may encompass reprocessing past traumas, responding to symptoms of depression and anxiety from a place of compassion, or developing new ways of expressing and sharing one's identity and self. I enjoy helping my clients to become more curious, resilient, insightful, and courageous.
