Just like any other group, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community faces mental health issues and unique challenges. However, LGBTQ individuals are almost 3 times more likely than others to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Additionally, more than half of individuals who identify as transgender experience depression or anxiety. The LGBTQ community is also at a higher risk for suicide. Young people are even more at risk, as they may experience a lack of support at home and fear, hatred or prejudice in school. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community and are facing mental health challenges, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s LGBTQ experts and get help today.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I specialize in working with women with much of my clinical work focused on issues such as imposter syndrome, parental/career burnout, assertiveness/self-advocacy, mental load, and relationship issues. I have particular experience working with early-career professionals who are struggling to find a direction for their career, increase their confidence, and advocate for themselves both in their personal lives and in the workplace.

I work with clients ages 14 and up who want to feel empowered. My clients come from all backgrounds and are in different stages in their lives. I especially enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals who have bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and trauma survivors. I value authenticity and encourage open and honest communication with my clients.

I work with clients from all walks of life. I enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community, couples, and people who are experiencing some kind of major transition in their lives. I believe in the power of radical acceptance, and often look to that in the work that I do with my clients. I also really enjoy working with people who have been afraid of therapy. I want to make you feel comfortable and safe so that you can feel better and more empowered.
