You waited years to call a therapist. It feels so hard to reach out after the experiences you've had. But now you are ready to stop blaming yourself for your trauma. You want to find you voice & learn to start caring for yourself in healthy ways. I work best with clients who can look at the areas where they feel stuck & be curious about why they think, feel, & act the way they do. When we look at how these impact your life, we can develop a roadmap get you where heart & mind are leading you.
Clients come to me because they feel ready for something to change, but they're unsure of how to take the next step. Together, we reflect on what's been holding them back, and consider what it might take to get to a healthier place. I work primarily with couples and families to improve communication patterns and strengthen relationships. Using an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens, we explore the roots of why we do what we do and consider new ways of moving forward through life.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

My practice is dedicated to providing quality counseling services in Florida, Maine and North Carolina. I believe in the healing nature of connection, so I bring my authentic self into my work with clients. I have had the privilege to serve my community for 14 + years, working with individuals presenting with a variety of concerns and in a variety of settings.
My clients are the coolest. Not that I'm biased. They're often kinky, within the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, in non-monogamous relationships, with some neurodivergence, and often are pretty sarcastic. Sometimes, they need support when it comes to their executive function and their relationships. Sometimes, they need help with anxiety and depression. As a team, we can navigate the challenges and complexities of life.

In addition, I work with parents of special needs children, helping parents in how to parent their unique child, as well as individual therapeutic issues that may have arisen since becoming a parent. I also work with divorcing couples on how to co-parent their child. Finally, I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or life transitions.
I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse and medical illnesses. I will collaborate with you to develop the tools you need to gain the necessary insights, to manage painful emotions, to address self-defeating behaviors and to increase self-confidence.
I have a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am happy to work with people at all stages of their sexuality and gender identity development including adolescents facing gender/sexual identity questions and individuals seeking medical transition.
