Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. My clients are the coolest. Not that I'm biased. They're often kinky, within the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, in non-monogamous relationships, with some neurodivergence, and often are pretty sarcastic. Sometimes, they need support when it comes to their executive function and their relationships. Sometimes, they need help with anxiety and depression. As a team, we can navigate the challenges and complexities of life.

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I work with children who have a range of difficulties across all spectrums of social, emotional, and behavioral needs and diagnoses. In addition, I work with parents of special needs children, helping parents in how to parent their unique child, as well as individual therapeutic issues that may have arisen since becoming a parent. I also work with divorcing couples on how to co-parent their child. Finally, I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or life transitions.

I have a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am happy to work with people at all stages of their sexuality and gender identity development including adolescents facing gender/sexual identity questions and individuals seeking medical transition. Much of my training is centered around managing symptoms resulting from trauma and guiding clients through healing. I also have extensive experience and knowledge in the area of chronic medical issues and disability.
