Every relationship comes with its fair share of issues. Navigating the complexities of life together is hard enough, but when you start to feel regularly distressed or hopeless, about your relationship, it may be time to seek professional help. No matter what your issues seem to stem from (disagreements about money, sex, stress, chronic illness, mental illness, infidelity, trust, emotional distance, parenting etc.), if you and your partner are arguing more frequently and experiencing feelings of resentment or contempt, it is likely that there are some underlying problems to address. Because many problems in relationships are a result of communication issues, a qualified mental health therapist can teach you to find new ways of talking to each other to help you find your way back to common ground. Most folks begin therapy with me because they feel stuck in unhelpful patterns of communicating, they struggle to feel understood or supported in their relationship, and they want to navigate conflict and challenging emotions with greater ease. I support queer, gender expansive, kinky, and polyamorous and non-monogamous couples, polycules and other relationship structures. I also specialize in working with stepparents and parents who are navigating a non-traditional family structure.
My clients and I work together to navigate through mental health challenges and transitions in life. I specialize in working with people with gender dysphoria and those in the process of transition. Furthermore, I help my clients navigate issues related to racial identity and minority experiences. I work with various relationship types and forms, non-monogamy included.

Life can feel confusing and overwhelming. Do you respond by trying to be "perfect," by imagining every possible disaster and planning an escape for each? Or perhaps you get paralyzed with anxiety, unable to take any action, mind racing? That persistent feeling of "not good enough" can lead to depression, anxiety, or generally feeling like the life has been sucked out of you. Reaching out for help is hard -- I'm glad you're here and thinking about it.
