Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

My expertise encompasses working with women and mothers experiencing anxiety, ADHD, and adjusting to life transitions. I will also add, there is a plethora of conditions and lived experiences that are not pathological in nature but overwhelming nevertheless. (aka all things motherhood!) I’m talking the mental load, sensory overwhelm, mom rage and the experience of villagelessness. You don’t need to have the heavy stuff for us to work together.
People seeking improvement or understanding in their lives can almost always benefit from talking things through. Whether you want to explore childhood issues, heal from trauma, deal with work stress, address anxiety and depression symptoms, or something else, I can help you accomplish your goals. Having spent ten years in community mental health, I have worked with people from all walks of life, with all different needs, and feel comfortable talking with most people about most things.
I work with humans ages 7 and above. I provide assessments, individual and family therapy. I encourage my patients to take their time in therapy, it is a marathon not a race. I encourage my patients not to censor themselves, my office is a safe place. Areas of specialty include: EMDR therapy, trauma, eating disorders, LGBTQ, mood disorders, grief and loss, lying, stealing, depression, anxiety, anger management.
I serve adults who are seeking to improve their mental health and overall well-being, using a person-centered approach. This means that you will have a safe space to be yourself without judgment. Together we will define and enhance your strengths to help you achieve healing and wellness. It takes courage to seek treatment and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
