Are you struggling to cope with a major life event? Have you been experiencing anxiety and depression as a result of these changes?
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a classic talk therapy technique that helps increase awareness of negative thinking in order to better handle challenging situations. In addition to helping those with mental health disorders (such as anxiety or depression), CBT is also helpful for anyone who is looking to learn how to manage stressful situations. Therapists that use CBT often have a structured program, which involves a set number of sessions. CBT is frequently paired with other treatments, such as medication, when necessary. Think this approach may be right for you? Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s CBT experts today.

My clients are high-functioning adults who have experienced grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, adjustment issues, unexpected transitions, and health-related concerns. I have worked extensively in the medical field and have a passion for working with individuals including medical professionals and first responders experiencing compassion fatigue, burnout, and caregiver stress.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
I have a considerable background working with the Black community and other communities of color, the LGBTQ and Non-Binary communities. I work with Adults, Teens, Individuals, and Couples from all cultural backgrounds. Everyone is welcome! I am licensed in California and Kansas, and limited to only seeing clients within the boundaries of those states. California -LMFT, Lic #121606 Kansas -LCMFT, Lic #03112
