Asking for help is one of the most challenging things to do for ourselves, but it is one of the best ways of self-investing. When we physically do not feel well, we reach out to our doctors or nurses for support because we think that is normal. When we do not feel well mentally, it can give us a sense of not feeling normal, and while everyone's story is different, it is the same because we all have one.

If you’re looking for therapy of depth, insight, and durability; if you’re seeking a highly-trained therapist with over 37 years of experience who listens carefully, deeply, and thoughtfully; if you’ve been disappointed by ‘quick fix’ approaches that promise much and deliver little; if you want an individualized approach designed specifically with your needs in mind, you are in the right place.
My ideal clients are resilient individuals navigating life's challenges. I'm passionate about supporting those impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relational issues. I also work with individuals facing Borderline Personality Disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. My trauma-informed approach empowers each person towards healing and growth.
I may be a good fit for you if you want to better understand how your unconscious experiences are influencing your day-to-day life. Through mindfulness practices (non-judgmental observation of self) and somatic awareness (mind-body connection), we discover and work through internal conflicts that may be influencing patterns in your life. I support you in untangling codependent dynamics, and experiencing greater authenticity and clarity within your relationships.
I view my clients as the experts of their own lives, experience(s), and self. I believe we each carry the "answer(s)" we need most within, but are not always taught how to get there or how to tune into ourselves. During our time together, you will be given an opportunity to explore and "be with" yourself in potentially deeper and new ways. I believe the exploration of self is interwoven with the unfolding of our life.

Art therapy offers a gateway to explore these struggles, unburdening through creative expression. My clients need a safe non-judgmental space, met with compassion and active listening, as they aspire to overcome challenges, discover their potential, thrive, and form authentic connections.
Currently, I offer in person and online sessions! I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent individuals! A large percentage of my clients consist of couples in which one person identifies as neurodivergent and the other partner identifies as neurotypical. I work with people who are seeking support for mismatched desire, sexual anxiety, sensory challenges, communication challenges, and difficulty identifying/managing their emotions.
As an EMDR trained and IFS informed clinician, my specialty is the treatment of PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety and dissociative disorders in adults and adolescents. I strive to create a calming, safe space and have a more gentle approach, though I will challenge you to do very hard work at a pace that feels safe for you. Compassion, curiosity, and mindfulness are some of my favorite tools.

Some have just been lifestyle bombed , the love of their life seeming to say they’re not enough. Others, having taken the leap can’t seem to stop fighting. Feeling isolated, scared, tired, and like they're going to lose everything. Take a moment to imagine your life as it could be in a few months. You are in love, all over again. With your partner(s), yourself, and how you live. Accepted for who you are, allowed to love in a way that feels natural, you are excited in your new life.
My goal is to provide a space for folks to feel accepted and to be held in nonjudgmental understanding. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, pondering gender and sexuality, wanting to bring your spirituality into sessions, or wanting a space for deep listening, I may be a good fit for you!
You may feel entrenched in old, ineffective patterns that are difficult to break. You may feel confused or directionless due to unexpected crisis. You may be adjusting to a change in your physical, mental, or social abilities. Or you may feel that something is wrong without even knowing what the problem is. I provide mental health counseling for individuals in the Portland area so they can navigate these kinds of transitions and answer their inner call for change.
Between and within humans, multiple perspectives exist, and what is discovered depends on how observing happens. This understanding has led to my intense compassion for human suffering, and delight in the unique paths forged. It is possible to ultimately drop attachments contributing to suffering, in order to experience the innately loving conscious beings we are. Here the focus is less on "right and wrong" and more on the wise discernment of what ACTUALLY contributes to suffering.

You’re feeling stuck in familiar patterns of shame and self-criticism, and it’s hard to tap into your strengths when you need them most. Whether it's the weight of anxiety or the impact of prejudice and discrimination, especially toward the LGBTQ+ community, it feels overwhelming and you feel vulnerable and out-of-touch with your own voice. You’re ready for help and deserve support as you take steps toward healing and growth—you don’t have to go through this alone.
I support clients in increasing positive communication skills, creating healthy boundaries, improving relationships, and in processing past challenging experiences. I have extensive experience in working with individuals who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, and anxiety. My practice centers on creating a safe space through being inclusive and affirming to all humans by paying particular attention to each individual’s experiences and life story.
