You can usually manage the anxiety, but lately it feels out of control. Maybe you don't know what you're experiencing but you've had times where you can't breathe, your heart is beating out of your chest, and you feel desperate. Are there memories you've been trying to avoid that are resurfacing? You don't have to face the memories alone anymore. The very real pain of your your past can stay in the past, letting you live whole and free in the present.
You’ve spent a lot of your life just “getting through it”. But now that you’re through it (at least mostly), your past seems to be catching up to you. Your relationships with significant others, friends, family, and even yourself seem to be challenging. You’re realizing now that maybe “just getting through it” wasn’t enough. Slowing down is really difficult, but it’s time. This can feel scary to take on alone and I can support you on your healing journey.
I specialize in individual and couple work and welcome the presence of partners and family members to enhance the therapeutic experience. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, have experienced trauma, are trying to reinvigorate romantic relationships, or live with anxiety/depression. I am happy to work with humans from all backgrounds, but I am especially trying to make space for LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse folx, as well as the polyamorous & neurodiverse communities.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I will work along side you, your relationship and your family in order to help co-dsicover the negative pattern that keeps people stuck, and unconnected.

I can help you find relief, but relief is only the beginning. If you struggle with cumulative trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or loss, I can help. I also welcome people working on issues of spirituality and sexuality, helping professionals wanting to deepen their own work, and social changemakers honing their effectiveness.

Geeks, nerds, hackers, burners, and makers are my specialty! Tired of having a therapist roll their eyes when you talk about gaming? Over it trying to explain that Discord is a chat server and not a state of disharmony? Feeling finished with people who don't understand online friendships are valid social support? You deserve a therapist who gets you in all of your delightful nerdiness and awkwardness. Therapy for geeks from a geek therapist might just be the support you're looking for.

This might include living with a neurological difference such as bipolar disorder or autism, and/or developing an identity which seems different from the one they've embraced in previous times of life. I also work with people who may be struggling with loss of social support, depression or anxiety that seems unmanageable, or a general feeling of "stuckness."

Sometimes you feel so down that things seem hopeless, and sometimes you’re so anxious you can’t even rest. You’ve already tried on your own to solve your problems, but insight alone isn’t shifting things. You speak to yourself unkindly, which doesn’t help. You want to have fewer ups and downs, or maybe you’re wanting to change a relationship that your friends say is toxic. At this point, you’re ready to try something new.
