The populations I work with are, preteens/teens ages 11 and up both male and female. I also provide individual and couples therapy for adult men and women. My areas of focus are depression, anxiety, grief, stress, career/workplace issues, parenting skills, negative parent/child relationships, and helping heal marital issues
Most of the individuals drawn to me are people who find themselves in the midst of a transition in their life. Many are college students, transplants, frequent travelers and interstate commuters who want a consistent presence to check in at a time when change is not only inevitable but overwhelming.
Do you encounter anxiety, depression, marital frustrations, communication problems, intimacy concerns, or suffer from PTSD? Let's work together to find resiliency within yourself and with those that matter to you to make lasting relationships become meaningful and prosperous. My holistic approach can help you find the root to many of these experiences.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.
Every person is a masterpiece, created with a purpose to do great things. Sometimes we feel lost, get overwhelmed with anxious thoughts, become sad, get angry, and feel worthless. Perhaps your tween or teen is struggling with focus, impulsive behaviors, or other behavioral issues. Does lack of motivation or struggles with decision making, get in the way of you setting or accomplishing goals? I provide therapy to teens, adults, and couples equipping them with tools to overcome life's challenges.

Are you always a little bit afraid that an anxiety attack is waiting around the corner? Have you been hit with surprise anxiety more times than you can count? I know exactly what you're feeling: the pounding chest, the shortness of breath, the feeling that the walls are closing in and you need out NOW. Attacks can be terrifying, and I don't want you to have to suffer them anymore. Holistic practices can reduce anxiety tremendously, and I look forward to teaching you tools to take your life back.
I specialize working with males who struggle with depression, imposter syndrome & grief. As the son of Salvadorean immigrant parents, I’ve seen how stigma keeps men from seeking therapy. As a male therapist whose also been in therapy, I also know what its like to deal with stigma. Thats why I normalize the therapy process by promoting a 2 way conversation in-session. Therapy isn't a lecture, or me just listening. Therapy is a collaborative effort where we can explore the path forward together.

When clients begin therapy, many of them are searching for a space to fully express themselves and to process their struggles. My hope is that you find that here and begin to identify ways to move forward. I work with individuals ages 10 years old and up, and especially enjoy working with those who have experienced trauma and empowering them in the healing process. I believe in the healing power of being fully heard and fully accepted.
I've worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various mental health settings. I provide therapy to clients for a variety of concerns including: anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, grief/trauma, adjusting to life changes, as well as family/parenting challenges. I provide high quality and empirically validated services in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment
My clients tell me they work with me instead of other counselors because I'm a real and realistic person. They tell me they are able to go from feeling anxious and overwhelmed to feeling calm and more in control in a matter of a few weeks. Most people that come to see me know what they need to be doing, but can't figure out how to actually do it. I help clients identify their unique pain cycle, and find success getting out of it in the moment.
